Monster Frankencookies
Are you ready for a terrifying story? On a dark and spooky October night, a middle-aged lady was craving cookies. She had butter, she had, sugar, she had eggs, but she didn’t have any chocolate chips or walnuts. She rummaged through her pantry only to find a few peanut butter chips here, a few mimi M&Ms there, a couple of pretzels, and a jar of fancy olives. What transpired after that was a tale for the ages. She mixed everything in a bowl and raised her dough from the dead to create the Halloween Monster Frankencookies.
Bake them…if you dare!
Here’s What You’ll Need:
2 Cups All Purpose Flour
1 Teaspoon Baking Powder
1 Teaspoon Salt
2 Cups Oatmeal (the rolled kind)
1 Cup +2 Tablespoons of Butter (softened)
1 Cup Brown Sugar
1 Cup Granulated Sugar
2 Eggs (best if at room temperature)
2 Teaspoons Vanilla
1/2 Cup Reese’s Peanut Butter Chips
1/2 Cup Chopped Up Pretzel Rods
1/2 Cup Plain or Mini M&Ms
(or Other Chocolate Candies you think would taste yummy together)
Here’s How to Make Them:
Step 1: Preheat your oven to 350 degrees and prep your baking sheets with butter, non-stick spray, or parchment paper.
Step 2: In a small bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder, salt, and oat meal. Set it aside for a minute.
Step 3: In a KitchenAid or with a hand mixer, cream together the butter and sugars, then add the eggs and vanilla.
Step 4: Fold in your Frankencookie mixers.
Step 5: Ball up your Frankencookies and squish them flat a little as you put them on the baking sheets.
Step 6: Bake them for 15 to 20 minutes, then let them cool. And leave the olives in the pantry.
